Difficulties with body image and eating can make us all feel stuck and isolated. Together, we can explore your underlying thoughts and feelings, and discover new and creative ways in which you can relate to yourself, your body and others.
I am guided by my Gestalt training and I seek to provide a safe and non-judgemental environment in which we can explore your relationship with food and body image. I am interested in what this means for you, and for your relationship with yourself and others.
I work creatively and holistically, considering the influence of body, mind, and emotions, as well as history, culture and spirituality. I can support you to become more aware of your experience, how you participate in it and to experiment with making different choices and discovering new ways of being.
I am in the final stage of psychotherapy training at the Metanoia Institute and have experience counselling clients in a low cost service, an LGBT+ charity, a student counselling service and in private practice. Working both long-term and in brief therapy, I have particular experience with clients in the performing arts. I have worked with issues including anxiety, bereavement, relationship difficulties, sexuality and body image.
Previously, I studied art and law, and worked for over 10 years’ in marketing. With experience of the City work culture, I appreciate the impact that work-related stress can have on our relationships and health.
