Be the best version of you

What Is Coaching?

Coaching is a thought-provoking and creative process aiming to facilitate your learning, personal development and wellbeing, and help you maximise your potential.

It is grounded in the idea that you are an expert in your own life and have the resources to find your own solutions and enable change.

A coach will help you to:

  • Explore and create a vision of what you want to achieve.
  • Increase your self awareness and self discovery through listening, asking the right questions, and the application of various tools and techniques.
  • Inspire, motivate and support you in generating your own solutions and strategies so you can build an action plan of how to achieve your goals.
  • Hold you accountable and responsible so you can stay focused and committed to what you truly want to accomplish.

The true power of coaching lies in building a strong relationship with your coach that is embedded in mutual trust, honesty and the right balance of challenge and support.

You will have a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space to explore what is going on for you and be encouraged to find your own solutions for overcoming your challenges. You will be in charge of your life and the changes that you want to make.

Health & Wellness Coaching

Health and wellness coaching will help you gain a greater insight into your current physical and mental health, and help you set new healthier goals. A coach will motivate you to stay on track as you make lifestyle changes and provide guidance and support throughout your journey.

A health and wellness coach will empower you with the skills you need to reach your optimum wellness, by using sustainable strategies and tools so you can achieve whatever you desire, from becoming more confident in your own skin, build a healthy relationship with food, to losing weight and feeling happier.

You will be able to focus on various aspects of your life that might be impacting your eating behavior. By changing a certain aspect of your life that you are unhappy with, this can have a snowball effect on other areas giving you the motivation and positive mindset to change your eating too.

There are certain limiting beliefs, or blocks that are keeping us stuck in old patterns of behaviour and thinking. Coaching can help you spot these blind spots and move forward.

Therapy VS Coaching

Although there is a big overlap between coaching, therapy and counselling, there are also many differences.

Therapy Coaching
Healing and understanding of emotional pain & trauma Focuses on personal and professional development & learning
Clear goals not always determined Achieving set goals in work or personal life
Past or Present Oriented Present or Future Oriented
May work with a mental health diagnosis Assumes client is healthy, whole, and fully functioning
Therapist often trained in one ‘school’ Diversity in techniques and tools
Commonly long term - weekly Shorter time scale - fortnightly or monthly

So why would you choose to work with a coach?

Perhaps you have done a lot of therapy previously, and although you have understood your past and have processed any emotional trauma, something is still keeping you stuck in old patterns of behaviour and thinking.

Coaching can help you unleash those mental blocks so you can fully challenge any limiting beliefs that are keeping you stuck in the present, and help you create a vision and action plan for your future.

Is Coaching For Me?

Coaching can help you to:

  • Better understand yourself and gain insight into your blind spots
  • Bring awareness to your limiting beliefs and unhelpful thinking patterns
  • Identify any ineffective or self-sabotaging behaviours
  • Create a plan of action and change that can help you achieve your goals and maximise your potential and wellbeing

A coach will help you overcome negative and self-limiting thoughts. Using visualisation, goal setting and other strategies, you will be able to recognise the things you want to change in your life, learn how to get there, and empower you to take action.

Are you feeling out of control with your current relationship with food?

Are you struggling to manage your emotions and food seems like the only ‘way out’?

Feeling like you have lost your motivation and purpose in your life?

Are you afraid of taking the next step to make a change in your life?

If the answer is yes, then coaching is the right place for you to start if you want to be in charge of your life and create a happy, positive and healthy future.

What Happens In 1:1 Personal Coaching?

You may be curious about what coaching actually involves, so here is a breakdown and some structure for you:

  1. Explore your history, and your current physical and emotional state
  2. Create a vision plan of what you want to achieve, and understand why this is important to you
  3. Goal Setting - come up with an action plan to overcome your challenges and move forward with purpose and focus
  4. Transformation - create deep seated change to transform your life

Depending on what your goal is, the focus of the sessions will be determined by you and what you want to achieve through coaching. Although you may decide to work with a coach on a particular matter, you may discover other areas of your life that you would like to work on.

Wheel of Life

The wheel of life is one way we can explore your happiness and fulfillment in different areas of your life such as health, family and career. Often clients choose to work with a coach because they are experiencing a certain setback in their life:

  3. Stress
  4. Making an important decision
  5. Time management
  6. Lack of purpose & fulfillment
