Something About Me

I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist which allows me to offer a more flexible and inclusive approach to my client work: I am able to explore difficulties and painful feelings in a respectful, empathetic and non-judgemental manner whilst using the psychodynamic model to explore if unconscious past experiences are negatively impacting present day thoughts and behaviours.

I am also a counsellor at the royal trinity hospice where i work on a face to face and online basis, i work not only with loss but also with other presenting issues:  anxiety, guilt, anger, shame and negative body image and have worked with coping strategies for panic attacks.   I co-facilitate a monthly walk and talk group, and have worked with clients who have experienced complex and historic bereavement.

My own life experiences have given me a great insight into why people need a counselling relationship for support at certain times in their lives and how important and helpful it is to engage in a talking therapy.

I have extensive experience in the fashion industry which has given me the opportunity to work with young people and to guide them through a demanding and body conscious industry. I have worked with models to address their underlying problematic eating habits and have helped them to establish a healthier relationship with food and ultimately themselves.

I love working with people, am a great communicator and take pride in my clinical work, in building strong and trusting relationships and ultimately working for the benefit and wellbeing of my clients.
